The Hawkins Scale Of Enlightenment

5 minute read
Energy_frequency_scale

If you are reading this article you are probably aware that absolutely everything in this universe consists of energy. Every thought, every emotion, every action vibrates on a specific frequency.

Dr. David Hawkins, a psychiatrist, who experienced several life-altering events throughout his life, believes that every word, every thought, and every intention creates what is called a morphogenetic field, or attractor field.

Following each personal experience, he noticed a change in his state of consciousness from an ego-based/ mind focus to a completely overwhelming state of overpowering bliss.

He decided that he must pursue the reason behind all these changes so he created a way to measure all these energy fields. These process tests the sound, light, and electromagnetic waves coming off of the morphogenetic field of the human heart when someone is thinking, emoting, or creating.

The Hawkins Scale

In his book  Power vs. Force Hawkins introduced a scale of expanding levels of consciousness that he calibrated using the methods of muscle testing and kinesiology.

He presents a vibration scale which consists of a hierarchy of levels of human consciousness on a scale of 1 to 1000, where 1 is simply being alive and 1000 is an advanced state of enlightenment.

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share this vibration scale with you as it is copyrighted but if you’re interested, you can purchase Dr. Hawkins Map of Consciousness from Veritas Publishing, just click the link or image below.

THE HAWKINS SCALE – LEVELS OF ENLIGHTENMENT

From low to high, the levels of consciousness are:

Shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace, enlightenment.

It is important to mention that the calibration figures on the Hawkins scale do not represent an arithmetic but a logarithmic progression. Thus, the level 300 is not twice the amplitude of 150; it is 300 to the tenth power.

Hawkins points out that there are far fewer people at the higher levels than at the lower ones. An increase from one level to another will result in enormous change in your life.

This frequency scale is by no way meant to define anyone at a fixed place, and no level is wrong or right. As human beings we can fluctuate through the different calibration levels on this scale. The Hawkins scale is simply a highly accurate and useful way to understand where we are in terms of conscious awareness.

We have all been at low levels of consciousness in certain moments as it is necessary for achieving the higher planes of awareness.  The lower levels contain core lessons that we all must learn at some point in order to attain the full realm of the human experience with all its highs, lows and challenges.

While we can pop in and out of different levels at various times, usually there’s a predominant “normal” state for us. Within your own life, you’ll see that some parts of your life are at different levels than others, but you should be able to identify your current overall level.

Hawkins scale – calibration

Going up even one level in the Hawkins scale can be extremely hard; most people don’t do so in their entire lives. Dr. Hawkins points out that the two greatest spiritual growth barriers seem to be at level 200 and 500.

According to Hawkins 85% of the people on earth live below the level of courage. Given so much negativity, you might be asking why hasn’t humanity already destroyed our civilization? Hawkins suggests that the positivity of the people operating on higher consciousness levels counterbalances the negativity of thousands or even millions of other people. For instance, a person who calibrates at the 300 level will counterbalance 90,000 individuals who calibrate below the 200 level. Or a person who calibrates at the 500 level will counterbalance 750,000 individuals who calibrate below the 200 level. This explains why Mahatma Gandhi (whom Hawkins calibrated at 760) was able to convince more than a hundred million people to follow his philosophy of non-violence.

So how can you raise your own level of consciousness?

According to Hawkins, everything that is around us can affect our level of consciousness: the music we listen to, the people with whom we associate, the books we read, the shows that we watch, etc.

For instance, specific types of music containing violent lyrics, will resonate at a low frequency on the Hawkins scale.

The first thing we need to do is trace back over our lives and see how we’ve been moving through the Hawkins scale to figure out where we currently are. Awareness is always the first step. Practicing meditation, reading books, eating high vibration foods or working with spiritual leaders can also be great ways to help you on your consciousness evolution journey. Finally, as you raise your vibration, you will also be able to help others and be a source of positive change for the world.

Share the Hawkins scale with a friend and help them raise their vibration.

Love and light x
